When Morgan and Chris’ engagement session landed in our inbox we were in love. But then again, what’s not to love about a lake front engagement session on Lake Mendota?
From The Bride:
“I grew up in the Quad Cities (Iowa) and ended up there after college for work, Chris is a Madison native but moved to the QC in early 2014 to attend/play football for St. Ambrose University. Though we had a lot of mutual friends, we had never met. During a time when neither of us was looking for a relationship, we were set up by our friends and agreed to meet on a (semi) blind date at a popular college bar. Chris loves to tell the story and it usually goes something like this: “When I walked through the door, the first thing I saw was her, but she didn’t see me, and all I could think was ‘I’m going to marry that girl'”.
We dated for the next 3 years. We then moved together to Madison in 2015 and planted our roots with new jobs, friends, and hobbies (boating!). In April 2017, Chris took me to London/Paris for my birthday and on an early morning walk with no one else around, we sat on a bench in the Hyde Park rose garden and he asked me to be his wife. In December 2017, we welcomed the most beautiful girl to our family — our daughter, Elizabeth “Elle”. To say we have been blessed is an understatement.
We planned a large wedding for August 25th, 2018 at St. Paul’s University Catholic Church, reception following in the Overture Main Lobby. The theme is modern black tie with subtle gold accents and the goal is to accomplish a classic, fresh elegance.
Our engagement session was taken last summer in our back yard by Andrea Larson/(Andrea Larson Photography). I cannot recommend her enough.”
