Doug and Kelsey got engaged at their favorite place – on Doug’s grandparents farm ridge where they are hunting partners. Exactly two years later they got married in an outdoor country wedding at Deer Creek Sportsman Club. The venue was perfect for them as it highlighted their love of the outdoors and naturally fit their rustic theme. As is true for many couples, they were planning on a small budget, but they pulled off their theme flawlessly with careful venue selection and DIY details.
Kelsey and Doug made their own birch wood holders for the table cards and birch wood candle holders for the tables. Recycled, dried baby’s breath added to the decor and the boutonnieres were made with rifle shells. Decorations were also made with antlers they had found shed hunting. If you can believe it, the food was made by family! (No pressure, right!?)
