From the Photographer: Karyn and Ben were a joy to work with. They were easygoing and knew exactly what they wanted on their special day, which was simple and sophisticated at the same time. They are both adventurous foodies that appreciate new and wonderful flavors so they chose to concentrate their wedding efforts on sharing what they enjoy the most in life with their guests: a new culinary experience.
To do so, they cut their flower budget and arranged bouquets using flowers from the Dane County Farmer’s Market. They even chose not to have a cake in order to spend most of their budget on the food and wine for the occasion. They had a variety of wines to go with the multiple course meal they offered their guests. In my opinion, they really focused on giving their guest an experience rather than going to the motions of what a wedding should be or look like. It was wonderful and really reflected who they are.
The venue was wonderful too. Located in downtown Madison, the library offered the couple the opportunity to host their wedding close to places they visited when dating. Not to mention pictures around the Capitol Square are a must for a Madison wedding! They were super fun to photograph, they wanted to have fun with their friends are not get too serious during the session with the wedding party. Congratulations Ben and Karyn!
