From the Photographer – Melissa Grace Photography:
Katie and Billy are New Jersey natives. When Billy got his new job at Epic, they loaded the car and set off on a new adventure to Wisconsin. Billy knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Katie, so on that road trip he proposed. She said yes and the new adventure began.
They love Wisconsin life and even opted for a barn wedding. The simplicity and beauty of their wedding day was lovely and refreshing. They are both kind souls with big huge hearts.
The day started with the first look photos. They were so smiley and giggly and a bit nervous too! It was fun and even though the mosquitoes were pesky they took it in stride. They knew with this warm wet summer those bugs might be annoying, so they had buckets of bug spray for them and the guests. Thank goodness!
Pre-ceremony cocktails were served on the lawn as guests arrived. Folks gathered and conversed as they waited for the big moment to unfold under the old oak tree. Billy’s 90-year-old grandmother walked him down and Katie’s brother gave her away. Tears of joy, laughter and hugs were had all around. Billy’s Grandmother is one cool lady by the way. She danced and partied and was so fun! Billy even used her ring to make Katie’s wedding band and engagement ring. AWE!
After dinner and toasts the party continued out on the lawn. Corn hole and horseshoes were very popular. The Tumbledown Barn dog even had a wonderful time. As the sun set we said goodbye and congrats to Katie and Billy and congratulated them again on their dream Wisconsin barn wedding!
