From the Bride: Our Love Story
First of all, we met on Tinder. From there, we moved on to dating in real life, and after about 3 years together, John proposed to me at the mailbox where we shared our first kiss. I think the two of us are a great match because we are quirky and like to have fun. John is a little bit more crazy, so he gets to bring out that side of me, while I sometimes I have to reel him in. It’s a good balance.
John is a project manager as his job, so he ended up taking the reins on wedding planning. I liked having so much input from him, because that’s how we ended up with a mild Top Gun theme throughout our entire wedding. It’s his favorite movie…
The most special part of our wedding was our ceremony. My father officiated, so he was able to talk about our relationship from his own personal experience of watching us grow together. John and I then exchanged vows that we wrote from each other. The number of emotions that I went through during an 18-minute ceremony was astounding. We also really enjoyed spending time with our friends, having good food, drinks, and most importantly, dancing the night away. Our vendors were all fabulous and felt like family by the end of the wedding day. Overall, it was one of the best days of my life!
